The EMPOWER 2.0 project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, stimulates the adoption of new products, services and processes to reduce the environmental footprint of regions around the North Sea. The objective of the project is to support development of tools and methods that enable more consumers across the EU to generate electricity for their own consumption, to store it, share it, consume it or to sell it back to the market. It should make it easier for households and businesses to become more involved in the energy system, to better control their energy consumption and respond to price signals.
