Uffe Bundgaard-Jørgensen

CEO and Founder of the Company

He holds a PhD in Economics and Operations Research (1974) from University of Copenhagen and Danish Technical University; and an MA in Economics (cand.polit., 1970) from University of Copenhagen. He has a career as international consultant and research director. He has a combined 20-year experience as managing director of a Danish natural gas company and a large Danish Venture Capital Fund (DVF). From 2000 onward he is CEO of Gate2Growth ApS.

He lectured in Economics for many years at the University of Copenhagen and worked as a consultant for the World Bank and DANIDA (Danish International Development Agency) in South America, Asia and Africa. He was member of the Board of Directors of EVCA (European Venture Capital Organization) for several years. He has been advisor to the Danish International Investment Funds. Between 2004-2018, he served as Chairman of the Danish Energy Regulatory Authority appointed by the Minister of Climate and Energy of Denmark. He has been Chairman or member of the Board of several SMEs. He is member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences.

Between 2016-2018, he was Vice-Chairman of the EU Commission H2020 Risk Financing Advisory Group, and member of the H2020 Advisory Group for International Cooperation. He is member of the Scientific Committee of the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI-JU) funded by EU and European Industries. Between 2014-2016 he was Chairman of the EU Commission H2020 SME Innovation Advisory.

He is the author of the book: How to Attract Investors, a personal guide to understanding their mindset and requirements, and has conducted more than 175 How to Attract Investors and Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Master Classes throughout Europe. He is registered as Business Coach by the European Commission's Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME).

Rasmus Egvad

Partner

He holds an MSc in International Business (2008) from Copenhagen Business School, combined with MBA courses (2006) from Brandeis International Business School in Boston. Strong academic focus on strategy, international competition, business development, alliance strategies and innovation. Finished his studies with a Master Thesis about corporate governance in small companies. He joined Gate2Growth in 2012, is currently Partner and registered as Business Coach by the European Commission's Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME).

Rasmus works with screening, selecting and developing business cases for the numerous EU-supported projects where Gate2Growth is the business exploitation partner. He has worked with early stage companies from a variety of business sectors including agriculture, transport, energy, ICT, eco-innovation and manufacturing industries.

Before joining, Rasmus worked as Business Analyst/Project Manager at the IT start-up Nextvet A/S (2009-2010) where he had a key role in a successful sale and exit for the company's founders. He also has experience as a freelance analyst performing market, competitor and business analyses for a range of different small Danish companies. He was senior consultant at Keystones ApS (2011-2014) where he worked with business development of small growth companies, mainly with the focus on attracting private investors.

He is co-author of the book: How to Attract Investors, a personal guide to understanding their mindset and requirements, and has conducted several How to Attract Investors and Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Master Classes. Carmen Bianca Socaciu

Senior Consultant

She holds an MSc in International Marketing and Management (2011) from Copenhagen Business School, combined with MBA courses (2010) of PGP & PGPX at IIM Ahmedabad, India. She has a strong academic focus on international market research, strategy, management, marketing and business development. Finished her studies with a Master Thesis about a three-year Nordic Growth Strategy for the market research company YouGov.

Carmen joined Gate2Growth in 2014 and she works with screening, selecting and developing business cases for the numerous EU-supported projects where Gate2Growth is the business exploitation partner. She has worked with early stage companies from a variety of business sectors including agriculture, bio-technology, energy, ICT, eco-innovation and manufacturing industries.

She is co-author of the book: How to Attract Investors, a personal guide to understanding their mindset and requirements, and has experience with conducting How to Attract Investors and Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Master Classes, also in Romania.

Marius-Febi Matei

Technical Senior Consultant

Marius holds a PhD in Chemistry (2016) and an MSc in Nanomolecular Science (2010) from Jacobs University Bremen (Germany). He has a strong academic focus on interdisciplinary training: laboratory research, food chemistry, nanomolecular science, organic and analytical chemistry, biophysics and supramolecular chemistry. Finished his studies with a PhD thesis about synthesizing and analyzing beneficial chemical compounds resulted from food processing.

Marius joined Gate2Growth in 2016 as a Technical Consultant, offering support on the scientific matters of the pan-European projects and business cases the company is handling. He has an understanding of the business issues through his bachelor in Economics and International Business (2013) from the University of Craiova (Romania). Marius works with screening, selecting and developing business cases for the numerous EU-supported projects where Gate2Growth is the business exploitation partner.

Before joining, he performed experimental laboratory work (polyphenols research), was involved in teaching undergraduate classes (chemistry and physics) and managed MSc laboratory rotation projects and experimental BSc thesis projects.

He is co-author of 2 book chapters, over 15 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and 2 research grant proposals, relating mainly to the areas of polyphenols and synthetic macrocycles.

Louise Murholt Rosenthal

Senior Consultant

She holds an MSc in International Marketing & Management (2009) and an MSc in Psychology & Business Management (2015), both from Copenhagen Business School, combined with a Graduate Diploma from La Trobe University in Australia. She has a strong analytical and academic focus on developing and improving the management and business processes of companies and other organizations, by analyzing, improving, developing and implementing business processes and identifying new development and action opportunities that help companies to more effectively achieve their goals.

Louise joined Gate2Growth in 2019 and she works with screening, selecting and developing business cases for the numerous EU-supported projects where Gate2Growth is the business exploitation partner. She works with early stage- and early venture companies from a variety of business sectors, mostly highly technical- and engineering focused companies.

Before joining, Louise worked as a Business Consultant within the premier league hockey-league in Denmark where she dealt with the World Championship in Ice Hockey and played a part in Denmark's fastest growing partner network. Before that, she worked as Project Manager in the IT Industry where she led projects with high impact on SMEs and large enterprises' IT infrastructure.

Anna Paulusz

Consultant

Anna holds an MSc in Design and Innovation (2020) from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and a BSc in Industrial Design Engineering (2018) from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME, Hungary). She has a versatile methodological toolbox and creative skills to analyze and communicate insights about interactions between the user, the company and the technology.

She is efficient in creating eye-capturing visual designs and in translating complex processes and business strategies. Given her academic background, she understands the development and implementation of innovation processes, which adds a strong base in turning them into structured and engaging visual content.

At Gate2Growth (joined in 2021), Anna connects the dots between the communication and visuals, assists in EU-supported projects and client applications and works on creating a comprehensive visual guide and template source for Gate2Growth. She is also supporting external communication and training activities.

Anna has experience as a communication assistant from Bang & Olufsen where she was responsible for employer branding activities and internal communication. She also coordinated event sponsorships to attract young talents. Before that, she worked with Demola in Hungary as a group facilitator for a student team and as a graphic designer preparing various social media assets and workshop materials.

Bianca Maria Barozzi

Consultant

Bianca holds an MSc in International Business (2020) from Copenhagen Business School, combined with MBA (Masters of Business Administration) courses from Tulane University (USA), and a BSc in International Economics and Management (2018) from Bocconi University (Italy).

She has a strong academic focus on business strategy, internationalization, management, marketing and brand management. She also carries a strong interest in communications strategy as well as public speaking, in which she received a training program from Bocconi University.

Bianca joined Gate2Growth in 2021 with the goal of helping SMEs reach their business goals. She works with screening, selecting and developing business cases for the numerous EU-supported projects where Gate2Growth is the business exploitation partner.

Before joining Gate2Growth, Bianca worked in the Danish start-up environment, providing support with the application for grants and investment opportunities as well as online marketing and business development activities. Prior to that, she worked in sales and marketing during the course of her studies.
